Ultracraft -I suggest asking other home owners in your area that have bought this brand for their opinion before buying. Ideally if you could see what you are getting. Our Natural maple cabinets were so dissimilar is lightness/darkness and wood grain they look like the came from different suppliers. This is the result of mass producing and no quality controls. Our painted white Ultracraft cabinets arrived with dings on half the cabinet fronts and were replaced by the local dealer- of course this meant another wait and another day of people in our house two months later.
Knowing what I know now I would buy wood mode- much better quality. And I will never purchase this brand again. For the price point, close to wood mode, you don’t get what you pay for.

      Dear Kim,
I’m sorry that you have had a bad experience with our cabinetry. I see that you have had issues with the lightness/darkness from one cabinet to another on a natural maple door style. Of course, without seeing the cabinets myself, I cannot comment on your exact kitchen, but I can tell you that whenever you select a Natural finish on any wood species you will see the highest amount of variation in wood color versus purchasing cabinets with a tinted stain. Natural finishes are devoid of any tinting and allow the natural beauty of the wood to come through.

On your white cabinets, you indicated that there were several dents/dings in the doors. I’m very sorry that this happened. It is not unreasonable that during shipping that this would happen and it is even possible that the cabinet left our plant in that condition. We strive for that not to happen both by building quality into our processes and creating a manufacturing flow that reduces handling of the product to a bare minimum but also by having a final inspection prior to the cabinets being boxed. I’m not sure why the replacement doors would take a couple of months to be re-installed as we can usually ship replacement doors in 8 working days from the time we receive the new order.

If you would like to talk to me personally, please send me an email with your phone number and I will be happy to give you a call.

      Sincerely,

      Scot Motzny
